So they're not in the Science Museum? Oooooo, a badge. There's a FB group too? Cool.

Welcome to the club!

Thank you! I'm excited to finally get my system up and running. It's still in the planning stages.

llj- Dont tell anyone else....this is between you and me... our last 2 meetings where held at the museum of science at the request of southern florida (Miami) members. Our usual meetings are in plantation.

The response was so overwhelming that I am in the process of negotiating with the musem in an effort to hold more meetings down south. :bounce1:
I cant promise anything but rest assured the FMAS Board is working on it.

In the meantime, our meetings will continue at the South Plantation HS Marine Biology Magnet program facility, starting again this month. The club sponsors the kids at that program with an array of things including volunteers, marine life, and education. That is only part of where you membership dollars go.

Very cool. I'd go to meetings in both locations if they didn't conflict with anything I had to do at FIU. I"m an adjunct professor there, at the School of Music. :) There are sometimes concerts Tuesday evenings.

Wasn't concerned about the distance, I had only just been watching the website since June, so I only saw advertisements for the meetings at the science museum. I'm in the process of getting my house ready for a renter, so I need this Saturday to prepare. Otherwise, I'd love to go since I want seagrasses in my system. It's a planted Marine. Very excited. :bounce1:

I look forward to my badge... :D

Lots of speakers, field trips, etc...

We manged to come to a reasonable agreement with the Miami Museum so definately a few meetings will be held there this year.

Stay tuned to emails, web site www.fmas1955.org, or on Facebook
