just wanted to show a couple (not so good) pictures of my tank and introduce myself.
or maybe not, since my pictures decided to not want to upload, lol. well on to the introduction i guess.
My name is Tim, I live in napa. I have a 36 gallon bowfront reef tank with a kessil LED A150w, in my tank i have about 40 or so lbs of live rock, and about 40 lbs of live sand, i have A marineland penguin 200? filter, (the one rated for 55 gallon) and a cheap protein skimmer off amazon (works really well for the price), fish are 3 balloon mollies, a pair of occelaris clowns, 2 yellowtail damsels, 4 green reef chromis, a lawnmower blenny, and a coral beauty angel, inverts are a CBS, 2 emerald crabs, 2 giant turbo snails, 2 other snails i forgot the names of, and a black margarita snail, i have about 6 hermits i think. and my corals, i'm just gonna list in order of how much i like them.
Zoas: rockstar supernova, sunny-d, purple hornet, pink zipper, blow pop, green bay packers, green people eaters, purple death, green eagle eyes?, devil's armour, gorilla nipples, and i got a rock with 3 different types of random zoas i dont know names of.
other softies: green star polyp neon, green mushroom not sure what kind, green hairy mushroom, and about 5 kenya trees.
LPS: 5 heads pink tip frogspawn, green and purple brain coral, yellow brain coral, red and white acans, galaxia frag, candy canes, dencans, bubble, and a green flowerpot coral.
SPS: neon green birdsnest, brown/maroon monti, and a small original mummy eye chalice.
I had a few questions on coral growth and other things and decided to put them all into one post. one is about my zoanthids, they all seem to be growing very slow except for my green people eaters which seem to have a new polyp every week or so. but what do they need to grow fast? i have almost all of them on my frag rack fairly close to the light. and the other growth question was about my yellow brain coral, I got it from Angel Fragoza with new wave reefs. but it had some tissue loss and may have been bleached? but i have had it in my tank for about 2-3 weeks now and it seems to be growing cyano on or in it? also since adding it to my tank i have seen no tissue regeneration so far. I have a picture of it but it's not very good because to see it well i had to make it pretty dark.
I will post all my pictures into a photobucket album until i can figure out how to upload pics on here.
