hidden Goby?

It's been about 3 days since I last saw my Diamond watcher Goby. Eating good, sifting sand, digging tunnels, interacting with the other fish well. Than out of sight. He is either really fast that he slips into a hole before I see him, or he is really dead slipping into his goodnight and I'll never see him. The latter concerns me more, A. I hate losing fish and 2. I don't see a way to get him out without totally moving all rockwork and moving through the sand. He could have already been eaten, or he is laid out under rock rotting away sending all of my levels to the moon. Any thoughts experiences or advice will truly be appreciated. I don't see any shifted rockwork ( I compared to recent photos on my phone!) and I didn't see any stress or sickness on him on Sunday evening last I saw him. Assume he is fine and wait, or start the recovery operation?

I had the same fish for a few years until last summer's power loss and there were times I would not see it for a week and then all of a sudden there it would be.

I now have had a mandrin and it will do the same thing then one day there it will be out and about.

I would assume it is just hiding. If for some reason it did die there will probably not be anything left of the body if you have hermits pluss the salt water would probably just disolve the little body real quick.

So if I have a spike than assume he is dead? Same with crabs and snails, I don't see half of what I put in the tank.

Tank is completely covered, Although there is about a inch and a half gap between the cover and one of three filters. I'll check tonight.

If you have open lights check on the bulbs. For some reason I had a yellow tang and a cherub angel land right on one of my mh bulbs. Overflows are also a favorite for fish...

I have a yellow head somedays never see him other times hes out spreadin sand all over every thing tryin to bury yhe good stuff and expose the bad give em sometime

I had a mandarin-- think he kicked the bucket a few weeks ago.
I put in a yellow goby and he disappeared for 2 weeks after I put him in.
I saw him and it was like seeing a ghost!

Found the goby in the spare bedroom upstairs. jumped out and became Cat food. Not a particular fan of the cats, I take a little pride in the fact that I also found some puke in the kitchen the other day, Goby delight must not have set well with ole' Fritty kitty
