Hiding a wavebox

Just planning

For a wavebox, u have to use either low-profile rockwork or put the wavebox in front so the rocks won't break the stream it produce, right?

I like high-profile rockwork, but don't like the look of a box to my front glass. So I thought of this solution:

Put the wavebox in the backcorner, easy to hidy with some rocks... and use a tube to direct te flow to the right direction... As in the picture (my 1337 paint skillz :D ) picture is the top view of the right back corner.

Will this be a good id?

I wouldn't recommend it, just hide the side of the box with some rock but leave the front unobstructed. It needs to be aimed lengthwise across the aquarium. Rockwork doesn't have much effect but an elbow could really stop the function.

The flow coming out of the box is not that great, it is a bit less actually than a 6000 Stream so I would think almost immediately in front should not be a problem. It isn't so much the flow that causes the wave as the energy force which is built up.

Ah, great... i thought i had read somewhere the wavebox-stream is between 6100 and 6200. guess i was wrong.

thnx! i can continue planning now :D

It is but because it is only on for a few tenths of a second at a time it never builds up much power.
