Hiding fish

I hate when I get fish and they hide. I bought a Lubbocks fairy wrasse a week ago and sure enough he dissapeared. Of course I was worried not seeing him for two full days. On the third day he came out of hiding and hasnt been out of sight since. Well yesterday I came across the nicest Christmas wrasse I've seen, bought him and brought him home. I fed the tank last night and he was eating fine. So far today, guess what? I havent seen him. As for now i'm 95% percent not worried. Partly because I went through the same thing with the Lubbocks a week ago but mainly because when I went to the fish store I didnt see him in that tank either. The owner actually had to come over and sift through the sand before the wrasse shot out like a missle.

Most Wrasse like to bury themselves. Both of mine bury themselves every night. One is up with the actual sun, and goes to bed when the sun goes down no matter what my lights are set at.

i had a x-mas for years , it would go awall for weeks at a time , and then one day there he is swimming around.

Day 2, still no trace. My concern level is starting to rise. Besides, I WANT TO SEE MY NEW FISH... ALIVE!!!!!!!!

Honestly if it was hiding at the store that a sign it was stressing.
I bought a male tamarin wrasse a couple weeks ago did good for the first week eating and everything. And just dissappered!!

Yeah, they ordered the fish for me on Monday, got it Tuesday, and let me pick it up Wednesday. When I went in the store it was out, but after I looked around the store a bit it was hiding. Being shipped only 1 day before it would have to be stressed still some. Hopefully it will come out soon. On the good side it was eating only a few hours after being in my tank and seemed fine. It wasnt until late in the night it went into hiding.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Morning of day three and no fish. I had an idea of where the fish was hiding because of some odd marks in the sand so I decided to go poking around a bit to try and stir this guy up. Surprising enough my guess was right, I sifted through that area and out shot the wrasse. It raced around the tank for a couple seconds freaked out, and buried himself again. So I'll leave it be for now, at least I know its still alive.

At least now I know where to look for him.

Ok, so its not the smartest fish.

Yeah, tonga xmas, a bit different from sri lanka xmas. If I could get a pic of the face youd see the "xmas" in it.

I actually doubt this fish is going to make it now, acting extremely odd, slow and laying on the sand. If its not an xmas wrasse what else is it?
