this is absolutely ridiculous.

when it comes to a light bulb...i find this to be unacceptable.

power compacts...of the same length same kalvin rating same wattage are 15$ appart in difference because one has square pin and the other straight pin...where do these people get off?


are there some sort of converters you can just plug in?

what i was looking for is a straight pin 65w PC bulb that was half purpule half blue....

does anyone know if these are it?

There at the bottom of the page. I don't now when they changed from 420nm to 7100K. The last time I bought lights they were 03 and 420, and this was less than a year ago. I hape this helps.

When it comes to there lights, I think they have a better price on them then most places. I like to order from them because I live close to them and usally get my stuff in 2 days.

Yeah, its listed as 03/7100k. When you click on it, it will say 420 and 460 as light range. This is the blue/purple. I have two in my light, but when I get new lights I going to just get the 03's.

why are you just going with the 03 (purpule right)?

I just look at your link. It doesen't say the light spctrum, but if you pull up the same light with the square pin it will say 420/460 with a pic a the color it will put off.

I have 6 65 watt pc that I run. 2 10000k, 2 03, and 2 7100k/03 split. When I turn on the 10000k I can't tell there is much blue at all. I think with 4 03's, it will give me a little more blue to the tank. The corals pop more under the 03's IMO.

changing straight pin plugs to square pin plugs is as easy as buying the $5 connectors and swapping them out for the other.

Yup, all PFO stuff. Good stuff. Never had a failure on any of their equipment. Too bad they are no more.
