Hey all! I have a 55g reef running for a year and a half. I didn't QT anything before adding it. I have all LR and LS and HOB everything. All parameters are normal. all my fish are juvi and less than 2in. pair of clowns, coral beauty, yellow tang, and hippo tang. Moving to a 220g in 6 months. I have seen random white spots on my hippo. They look like they are under the skin and not sand or anything but are gone the next day. I have done tons of research on ich and honestly cant tell if he has it or not. all other fish are fine. The hippo acts normal eats well, etc. I dont want to bring ich into my 220 and have a QT set up now. Should I QT them all in hyposalinity before I move them just in case?

With a hippo Ich is very much a possibility, especially if not cleaned up before adding him to the tank.
You can do hyposalinity, but it would be better to combine it with TTM.
If all fish are stable and well eating you could also go the CP route in a hospital tank. That way you may cover all: ich, velvet, brook, and likely some more that haven't yet been certified.

Unless you set up the 220 with all new rock, sand and water, you will also need to run it fallow for 72 days to make sure the tank is clean. Treating the fish and not the tank is a waste of time.

Mine gets little ich spots all the time, but they stress out easily. It goes away Ina day or two. I soak my food in garlic, vitamins, and selcon once per day. I have yet to lose a fish from disease.
