Hippo tang color

I have a pacific blue tang that seems to have lost his color. His bottom half is more dark than blue. He is quite old I think. I have had him for at least 5 years and bought him used to begin with. Do they get darker with age? He has been this way for at least 4 months. tks

They turn light brown with age.
