I can't figure out which of my fish are eating some of my zoos. Tank has
6 in. Hippo tang
4 in powder brown
4 in. Maroon clown
3 inch purple dottyback
I originally thought the culprit was a sea urchin but he went back to the store yesterday. I woke up this morning to a few more zoas gone.
I read a post that a full size hippo sometimes gets the urge to eat some zoos after its grown. But i do see the powder brown picking at rock once in a while. Its got to be one of these 2 fish.
Any thoughts?

Are you certain they are being eaten, or are they melting?
I have never heard of any of your listed fish eating zoas. The tangs may be eating algae around the zoas.

I had the zoas in my nano. They were doing great for a long time. Very healthy. Then i transferred them to my 75g which i bought 3 weeks ago off CL with minimal corals but the above fish and live rock. Levels are fine. Used the same water. The zoas were opening n looking great. Some went missing off the frag . I took that frag out and put it back in my nano and its regrowing. The other frag i had in the 75g wasnt touched. I figured my urchin liked the brighter zoos. The urchin went back to the store yesterday n now the other frag is eaten/melted overnight.
