So i picked up a hippo tang 2-3"small guy, all looked well hes been in there for about a week and each new day hes had 1 maybe 2 white spots(ich im guessing).Will this fish be ok hes been eating very well, if u look at him dead on u can see his belly just bulging. Also my other fish are doing fine no spots eating normal. Should i just relax or add something. i dont want him to die Knowing i could of done something prematurly to help the fix.

Just leave him. The best way for a hippo tang to fight ich is to be in a stress free environment with a good supply of food.

Moving and treating will just stress the fish.

. the only way to treat ich in tangs is hyposalinity. by the way the rest of the fish will also need this treatment. and the dt needs to be fishless for 8 weeks.

i guess this might be a bad time for this but..

one sayd leave him then another says quarentine. from what ive read ich can go away if the fishes immune system fights it off and the only way it does this is threw their diet and being stress free and im feeding sheets of seaweed also pellet (full spectrum thera-a) and live brine shrimp. but correct me if im wrong. he looks healthy swimming hes the biggest pig in the tank ive actually been feeding alot to over come this and he hasnt missed a meal yet. i have a cleaner shrimp but i dont think hes doing his job because hes getting harrased by the yellow tang. the only thing i could guess is that hes getting stressed its a new tank just put into the wall and i have an anemone and just put more coral in so my hands have been in the tank more than usual.but he hides for maybe longest now 20 sec then hes back out lookin for food

I agree with Zaita 100%. If he's eating that is a great sign. Watch your ph levels and feed at least twice a day and also a seaweed select once a day. No hands in the tank for the next couple weeks. Stress free is key. I never qt and never pull fish out once their in the tank and I have only lost one fish in 3 years. Good luck.
