Hippo?

I believe hippo's only live in Africa along the Nile. A bit large for the common backyard.

Hehe, we're just thowing some humor in there foy ya. I have one in my 180(the fish) and it is a very peaceful tang. They do get large(mine is about 6"-8") so it wouldn't be suitable for a 36 gallon. Neither would the 2 ton animal.

Like some other tangs, Hippos are considered ich prone. I have lost two in quarantine a year ago, and only recently tried another one. This one, a tiny one, I added straight to the tank. He is a voracious eater and even pushes larger fish aside to get some food! So far he seems very healthy.

You wont keep a Hippo very long in a 36 until it is too big for the tank. You will want to get a bigger tank or get rid of the tang when he gets bigger.

defintly the most ich prone fish ive ever had ... i have one now but it will most definitly be my last
