hippocampus comes

I think that someone just recently posted that ORA has stopped breeding them. Their fry give a lot of experienced seahorse breeders trouble -- a single fry out of several broods making it to the four month mark would be a success, even for people who can rear reidi fry. So, if you are looking to breed, you may want to reconsider.

i've seen quite a few of them around lately in some of the LFS here, so there are indeed some to be had. i believe all of these SH are net-pen SH from SE Asia, so any specimen you acquire will need to be QT'd and treated for parasites.

Bumping an old thread . . . Anyone see any in the Wisconsin/Illinois area, or know of a place to order online? I lucked into a male (probably net pen raised) and he's made it through quarantine fine, but I haven't seen any since.
