Hitch hiker micro brittle

So I got a gorgonian yesterday and on one of it's branches was a micro brittle, white and brown, but it wont let go of the branch! It's alive, when the fish swim past it it tightens it's grip to the branch. How can I get it to move and why is it not moving? It's so small I can't remove it. Hard to take a a pic I'll see if I can.

Use an x-acto knife and lift it off from underneath.

It should move off it overnight. Mine don't like to be out in the open.

It has stayed there for who-knows-how-long in the store and 1 day 1 night in my DT. I will try to remove it with my hand.

Why do you want to remove it? Micro sea stars don't damage the gorgonian. Just leave it alone and it will eventually move to find food.

No not remove it J just want to get it off the gorgonian and make it go around the tank dping stuff

Just leave it alone. Trying to move it will likely kill it.

I would leave it alone. It will move when it's ready. You are likely to kill it or the gorg if you try to move it.
