What does it eat?

Probably the coral it hitchhiked on.

Pretty thing. Move it to the fuge, if you've got one, and see if it contrives to survive. Most don't.

The frag never really showed much damage. Today I moved the frag it was on and that was enough to get it to move off the frag. Now it is roaming around the tank. The nano it is in is pretty much all softies. Hopefully it will find something it likes because it is really pretty nice.

wetwebmedia.com is an awesome site for identifying critters. If you cant find it on their site, you can email them the picture. They usually respond in a day or two.

We checked WWM and no luck. We also checked every slug forum we could find. Mary sent a post to Ron Shimek. Maybe Ron or Leslie know what it is.

Right now the tank is dark and it is hanging out on a rock right in the front. Personally I think it is the first one Joe found, Tritoniidae marionia. It is really pretty.

I posted in your "other inverts" thread yesterday.

"Hi --

This is most likely a Tritoniopsis spp. They eat soft coral. Its a shame, because they are really awesome looking animals. I found something similar on a gongorian that came from the Florida Keys. I only ended up w/ two in total, but you may want to be on the look out for some more."

I would guess it is T. elegans (syn. T. alba), unless the coral in question was housed w/ gorgs from the Western Atlantic (or other things recently harvested from there.)

They eat leathers...I've had them before. Noticed one at first than many. Just manually removed them. They weren't too big of a deal.
