Hofer Gurgle Buster

Does anyone have experience with these? I am trying to set them up on a dual bulkhead HOB overflow but cant seem to get it to be anything close to quiet. It stops the gurgling noise but there is a lot of bubbles coming out and about every minute there is a large bubble that comes out of the drain pipe as if there is air building up inside of the pipe.

Is there any advice on adjusting the bell or the air hose? Thanks

I use a hgb on a single bulkhead hob overflow. It passed my wife's noise tolerance test, and is pretty quite with no random gurgles. I have read in research of the gurgle busters, that they don't work well in tandem.

They are a waste. I went to a Herbie setup and it is absolutely silent. Click on this pic to see an old video of mine -

Just to update for posterity I ended up going with a Herbie system and it is very easy to set up and completely silent. It also solves the issue of bubbles and noise from the sump. Would highly recommmend it.
