Holding on to the other SH

Can you please tell me why a seahorse would keep finding the other seahorse in the tank and holding on to the other by wrapping it's tail around different areas of the other. The other SH struggles to get away. They are the only SH's in the aquarium.

Seahorses are very social creatures. What you are describing could be part of their mating ritual or it could just be that one likes to hold on to the other. I see this a lot in the seahorse baby tanks. Their tails just grab on and the little ones ride around on the big ones. I wouldn't be concerned by it.

All the babies and juvies that I have in my breeding tanks do that... those tails grab on to whatever they can..... you don't have to worry at all... :)
