Holly cow talk about high prices

That would be because the Australian dollar is worth about 75c and it is about as far from Germany as you can get- shipping is a huge cost.

Wow glad I live here :D

BTW thanks for getting me my wavebox propellor to Aquarium Arts so quick you rock . BTW what would cause the lil plastic tabs on the brake system to wear out so quick?

I can turn the magnet while holding the prop.

Ah, what I have seen happen there is the lime builds up between the shaft and magnet and locks the brakes partially out and they rub down to nubs.

okay . Even with less than 6months use? Either way I got a replacement so I am happy .

Can a non brake version assembly be used? What effect would that have on wave making ?

Yes, 6200.70 has no brakes, all waveboxes since about a year ago have used that part. It was primarily designed to accelerate production but it does seem more robust. It has no effect on performance except it can be a few decibels less or more noisy.

I don't want to turn this into a bashing of the Aussie distributor of Tunze, but ... Singapore is not that far away from Australia and they get their Tunze gear a lot cheaper than here in Australia. I should know, I bought my Tunze from Singapore and I am very happy with it :)
