Homemade coral food; will this work?

After looking at the premium prices online for the coral food I see recommended here the most, I plan on giving a homemade concoction a try. What I'm doing is simply using a mortar and pestle to grind up quality, dry fish foods into dust. Then using a tiny spoon (one from and old Salifert test kit) to administer this into the water at night time (or I might mix it with tank water in a small vial then dump it in). I'm using a combination of NLS Marine fish formula (main ingredient), OSI marine flakes, and freeze dried bloodworms. I plan on starting tonight.

Does anyone see a problem with this?
