homemade weed killer recipe

Sounds about right. Also is there a dry dandelion wine? I've heard of sweet but I'd rather have dry haha Even though the idea of dandelion wine still just seems wrong but I'm curious

Yup. Just don't add any non-fermentable sugars (lactose, splenda, xylitol, etc) and let fermentation complete.

okay... I'll bite cuz I never heard this one before!

How does cutting grass HIGHER eliminate dandelions?

When you keep your grass at least 3" high, it allows the root system to grow deeper. Most folks cut their grass way too short. As a result, the grass is using most of its resources for leaf growth leaving the plants with extremely shallow root systems.

Keeping your grass taller, combined with infrequent heavy watering (instead of a little water every day), promotes those deep roots allowing your lawn to fare better when it's hot and dry, as well as outcompeting weeds like dandelions.

It's not going to totally eliminate them, but it prevents them from getting a foothold.

IMO, lawns are one of those things that most people get wrong, cutting way too short and dumping loads of chemicals on them.
