Hooking my skimmer up to overflow

I have a aga 65g with an overflow and a aqua medic multi skimmer. I would like to hook the skimmer to the overflow so I dont get junk floating in my sump. Does anyone know the easiest way or a link on how to do this thanks

It says "pvc to skimmer" but what about the pump that creates the bubbles how does that work?

Does anyone else have the skimmer hooked up to the overflow using the aqua medic multi?

You would have a needlewheel pump that pulls water from inside the skimmer and then dumps it back into the skimmer.

I think they're talking about recirculating skimmers. If you want to do this with a standard in-sump skimmer then you'll probably have to make a small chamber around your skimmer pump that the overflow line dumps into. But there's no way I know of to feed the overflow water directly into the skimmer. You also have to consider bubbles from the overflow line. If a lot of them enter the skimmer pump it can affect the skimmer performance.

I think instead im going to use a filer sock on my overflow instead. where do most people put the sock? I kind of dont get it
