Hope the trip was fun?

Me and my buddy were at the last meeting (both members) when Eric talked about a trip to columbus. The trip sounded cool and something that me and my friend were intrested in. We were told to leave our phone numbers on a sheet of paper and expect a phone call on when and where to meet. Now im not on rc that often or i would of seen their post. Never the less we were told we would get a call. NOTHING!!!! I even left me e-mail address. Not everyone has internet access and that souldn't be our only means of communication. I hate crying about this but I think it is total BS.

That stinks...

The trip was very enjoyable. There were probably 15-20 people from the club who made it down there.

I think the list of names/numbers left the meeting in the hands of the president. He didn't make it on the trip though.

The internet is great for communicating in real time and it was last minute planning. I almost didn't go because of not knowing about it until the week before but I luckily found someone to watch the kids at the last minute.

I agree that someone should have gone through the list and made phone calls to make plans to carpool those people. There were others who would've liked to go but they didn't have rides. That's why I offered my van but didn't get any replies. I spent roughly the same amount in gas as I would've with 4 more people riding with me.

I hope you aren't turned off to the club or future trips by the way things were handled on this one. Normally there would be some time to plan things out better.

I'm not going to quit the club over this. The thing is at the meeting they were talking about going down this weekend or maby next. They were not sure so they told everyone to sign a paper with names and numbers I even added my e-mail. Now if Chuck had them which Eric was the one setting things up than Chuck should of called. Like I said i'm not on rc very often but I do check my email. Me and my friend were expecting calls, never got them so we both assumed it was going to be this weekend. I guess we assumed wrong.

I called Chuck to let him no you were Upset, He said sorry about the confusion. I tried to get the list from him as we were going to ride down together but he bailed out on me. The list was to call people from the rest stop to make sure we left knowone behind, not a reminder were going thing. The date and time was set at the meeting, not a this week or next week, we had a firm date and time sorry you didn't hear that.
so Im not sure what else to say but you assumed wrong
