Horrible experience at Carrabbas restaurant

McCrary

Can't Stop Time
I took my girlfriend to Carrabba's restaurant on Friday night. She gets a discount there because she works at Flemings. So we ordered and were enjoying some appetizers when the regional manager showed up and with a very bad attitude told my girlfriend that she needed to bring her pay stub if we ever expected to get another discount. I was shocked, her attitude was incredible and she was more rude than I have ever seen anyone be at a restaurant and this was supposed to be the regional manager. There were a couple other people from Fleming's and after we left my girlfriend called them and apparently they got the same treatment. People always go to the restaurants owned by the same corporation (Fleming's, Outback and Carrabbas) and just have them call to see if they do work at the restaurant. I did tell the lady that we wouldn't be coming back, ever, because of her. She gave us this little arrogant smile and said "that's fine". I was shocked at her attitude and indifference. So I won't be going back, ever, because they apparently don't need my business and don't care if they lose it.

I understand where you are coming from, but keep in mind everyone has bad days. Maybe she is facing high nitrates and she has a hair algae breakout. ;-P

Dude, I understand bad days, I have had some, lol. But this woman didn't seem to be having a bad day, she was just mean. I can honestly say that I have never been treated with such disrespect. It is simply amazing and the worst part was that this wasn't some teen waitress. This is supposed to be a higher up representing the company.

been there once and did not enjoy the food at all. Just was not up to par with the prices. I did not pay much more for Emerils Del Manaco in New Orleans last year and had a great meal. For the food I would expect a lot lower prices. Our waitor was a bit rude as well.

We went to Carrabba's once. It was so loud with what appeared to be piped in noises; clanking glasses, laughing, music, food being cooked that we couldn't hold a conversation. The grills were on the other side of a wall but I could hear the sizzle?

The food wasn't bad, a bit expensive for what we got. But did I mention that it was LOUD?

Once was to often for us, never been back.

I don't waste my time with any other italian joint in town than Gavi's. I love that place. I hit up a Carrabbas once in Fl and like others have said---bleh.

almost all business has to do with customer service, and when people arent treated the way they deserve, than its totally not worth going there any more. there was a salt water store that i use to go all the time, but i dont anymore because he tells you prices by the mood he's in, and def overcharges so its not worth it for me to go there anymore.

Wow, I have eaten at many different Carraba's including that location. I have only had one bad experience, and it was timing of the meal. Entrees arrived before the appetizer.

Sorry to hear the troubles, but that Cozze in bianco dish is just too damn good for me to never go there again. Other menu items are reasonable but nothing spectacular.

However, the food is way better than Olive Garden or Mac Grill. These too have no idea what al dente means. And they consistently serve mushy pasta . . . horrible.

Maybe she is facing high nitrates and she has a hair algae breakout. ;-P

Ken, that is hillarious.

Sometimes you just have to throw some humor at the situation and work with it. >I dont know where I get this optimistic personality from, lol!<

Lol, yea, I have been trying to be cool about it and not take it to heart. I posted the experience in the lounge and some seem to get my frustration and others don't. I guess I wouldn't get why someone would be so mad if it hadn't happened to me.

Sounds like last thursday to me waking up to that disaster.... that was a fun water change and ????? what the heck is going on ??? day haha

restaurant experience noted!

Well I have never eaten at Carraba's but I can say after reading this I never will! I take customer input serious when choosing a resuraunt. If one Manager has a bad night, does not matter. You guys were out for fun and to enjoy yourselves and that lady ruined it becasue she has mud butt.

This post will do little, I would be calling her boss & her boss's boss until I received a written apology from the lady. Just my 2 cents. Way to go Carraba's angry manager, you sure will not get my cash! haha.

Some people are just so stupid, they forget that 1 person with 1 bad experience will tell a minimum of 5-10 people? Then those 5-10 will tell 5-10 each if the subject is brought up?

Yea, I did eventually get some contact with a higher up from Carrabbas, but I was so burnt out from the situation I didn't do much in the way of contacting him back. But customers are how business' survive and making them not want to come back doesn't help them any.

Never been, never heard of it, never will. Customer satisfaction is a pretty important factor and if it was bad enough for you to take time out of your day to post it up here, it's enough for me to take it to heart.
