Host for Clowns!

I have a 55gal and its a year old. I am looking for something for my clowns to host on. Basically want a new addition to my tank.

My lights are T5's 2X54W. Whatever can do well under these lights and look nice

please post suggestions..

no not just yet, i was looking for some better lightning for my tank.

Any suggestions for better lights that i can place on top of my tank like t5's rather then hanging them? And that can support some SPS?

Another bank of T5's or a 4 bulb unit would be nice.
You could do a nem in that size tank, but it will limit coral space.
Hammer, frog, torch, things like that make a great alternative, and they don't move, something to consider.

could i just buy another alike t5 fixture and place it next to it? that will be 4 bulbs, just 2 different fixtures.

that will be 216W all together. Will i be able to keep SPS? Would it be safe to call my tank a sps and softies tank?

My clown loves her Frog spawn; so much she nips my fingers when I get near it. I'm just using PC on my Nano Deluxe...but its only 12 gallons....

depends on the fixture.. If it has individual reflectors( One for each bulb) than i think you would be ok if not then i would save some cash and get a quality fixture that does,.

can someone point me to the right direction for decent lights for sps? something under $250 store price! so i can look for used ones and get cheaper.

look into the tek lights..but are going to be hard pressed finding a fixture for under $250, a 4 bulb retro fit kit from reef geek is $299 and you still need to wire it up yourself and mount it.

you also need to make sure you get good bulbs... most of the time the bulbs that come in a fixture in your $250 price range are crap... imho ATI makes the best t-5 bulbs... like stated above TEK is a good brand fixture but whatever you get make sure it has individually reflected bulbs
