How do i get my pair of trues to host my bTA. i thought it would happen naturally but it hasn't. Is it because they don't feel threatened or something, the only other fish in the tank is a watchman goby. please help, the clowns aren't even tank raised, then i might understand.....

Well bta isent the natural host for percs. (im not sure what is, cant remember)

That doesent mean they wont host it tho!! It could take a week it could take a year. are they hosting anything yet?

Is theyre 'spot' near the bta? they might not have found it yet either.

Try putting a plastic nemo clip by the nem, or ive heard people using a picture of a clown inside a nem and sticking it on the glass. donno if that'll actually help tho. Just be patient :)

They don't host anything yeat, and I don't understand how they couldn't have noticed it yet, it's a pretty big thing in a pretty small tank.

It took my clowns a yr. and a 1/2 to use a pair of hairy mushrooms for a host. You just need patience. Then again, maybe they will host your powerheads. Clowns host in all kinds of crazy things.

I've had one Ocellaris for over three years that won't host in anything. Bought a baby tank-bred Ocellaris about a year ago; it decided to host in one of my toadstools after about 6 months. The older clown still hasn't caught on. I don't think it matters whether their wild caught or tank raised when it comes to whether or not they'll host, and I don't know if there's anything you can do to get them to host if they don't want to.
FWIW,

When I had an ocellaris and a percula clown in the tank with my BTA, it took about a week for my percula to notice the BTA. The unfortunately I had to medicate the percula because it had a white spot on it, and when I put it back into the main tank, the other clown didn't seem to like it anymore. So now I have them separated in another tank, and have 2 tomato clowns in with the BTA. Hopefully they notice it soon.
