Hosting tips - clowns and nem

I've had two clowns (semi picaso and black) for close to a year. A couple of days ago, I introduced a Bubble Tip Nem (which seems to be doing fine). The problem is that neither of my clowns have hosted to the Nem. Any tips on how to make it happen? How long does it usually take?

That species of anemone is not a natural host for either one of your clowns so it may never happen or it may happen right away. You kinda just have to wait it out. Can you post pictures of your pair? I want to pair a black ocellaris with my picasso.

Shoot, I guess I shoulda done more homework on my nem purchase. Oh well, I guess if it is meant to happen, it will happen.

I have both ocellaris and percs that are hosted by bubble tips so its very possible that your pair will accept your anemone as a host it might just take some time.

Edit: The clownfish in my avatar is being hosted by a bubble tip and that is not a natural host for that species of clownfish. It just depends on the clownfish.

Yep, should always read, read, & read some more; then inquire here before making any livestock purchases. We'll steer you right...LFS are usually in it just to make money. Good luck with your clowns figuring out what the anemone is for...Just be patient; it could happen...
