hosting too soon?

Well, I got my green BTA and with in the first 48 hours my female clown found it, which I am very happy about, but I'm also semi worried that ti may have been too soon.
I recently read an article that after you introduce a BTA to a tank to leave it alone for a week, no feeding, no poking or prodding (that that I would anyway) for at least a week... to let it get settled in..

Well.. It did find a spot and stayed there for about 18 hours until I opened my shades this morning.. he moved to the spot to where I placed him first after a complete tour of the tank (go figure). Meanwhile, my Female found him last night and have been enjoying him ever since.. at first to was just sucking on the tentacles (man that sounds so dirty) but now shes completely hosting in it..

my question is.. is this too soon? should I do anything to -stop- her from hosting so quickly? It's still moving around a bit, is she bothering it? Will her hosting it so early cause more harm then good?

Thanks for all your imput..
I have a complete journal of my tank..

I'll get more pictures when the lights turn on.

Its not too soon, some usually have the opposite issue that the clown can never seem to find the anemone.

It really depends how big is the clown compared to the anemone. Also if the clowns are bothering with the anemones mouth if its open, then to me its an issue. Besides the anemone moving does it look stressed?

I would keep an eye on it -- it is on the smaller size for a pair, and is slightly bleached. No need to intervene right now, but just watch it.

Thanks Todd, happy you chimed in on this.. as far as the bleeching he comes from a good online retailer.. I don't think they would bleach him.. hmm..

Maybe the clown was just cleaning the tentacles... I fed my nem a small piece of scallop on the 2nd day and it loved it and became active and grew overnight. ;)

I think i'm going to try to fed mine tonight after the lights are off.. he's still getting use to the lights..

What lights do you have? Are you acclimating it to your lights?

I like to use 3 layers of window screening, with removing a layer every 5-7 days. In fact I am doing that now, and just removed the 2nd layer last night -- have a slightly bleached haddoni.

Hi todd, I did over several hours, but not over days and not to the lengths that you went through.
I have the jbj HQI nano.. 150wt light.
I remember reading about your window screening.. a great idea.

So, he is still a little to white.. but he hasn't setteled in yet.. He'll move when I turn the lights on and then move again when they are off.. I know it may take a while for him to get used to the lights.. but should I try to feed him yet? I have Silversides that I can try to feed him or some brine I can squirt in his direction.. I just want to be safe.
