house warming party

Friday evening at my new place I'm throwing a house warming party at my new place. The garage is all up and this weekend I finsihed singling the roof so there is plently of space. The gathering will start early (A bunch of us alway go out after work at around 5:30) and likely go quite late. There will be food and drink for all. Feel free to attend. PM for directions if you haven't already visited.

Made a slew of food last night. Tea eggs, pico de gallo, rice for sushi, did a bit of prep work for Kabobs. Pick up a 1/2 barrel of long trail in a bit. Time to start stretching out the ole liver.

Unfortunately, I was hasty earlier this week when I moved from the 20 gallon to the 30 gallon tank and am now watching things melt away. Very sad. Much will likely survive, but my blue millipora I got from Greg and watched triple in size is now bone white. My Coco worm is also a goner...

Oh no! :( I hope what is left cheers up. If not, I'll have to bring you a frag at the next meeting to perk the tank up!
:D

And for the record, I hate that I am going to miss all the good 'eats'. Since I can't cook to save my life, it's order out or butter Kris up to get the non-box related eats...

Matt, Hope most of your livestock recover. Been there, done that. When I set up my 120g I 'thought' it was fully cycled when the ammonia and nitrite went to zero. I started to lose livestock and ended up with a tank wipeout that killed everything in the tank except 'Snowy' the snowflake moray eel. I lost an estimated $500 to $600 worth of livestock. Now always quarantine and be patient cycling a tank as it can cycle more than once. Keep your chin up. You have many generous friends in SWAM. Sue

Matt,
Great place you have there and thanks so much for the invite. Plenty of room in that new garage for a 500 gallon tank and all the accessories. Thanks for the great time!

Steve

Sorry I missed it, when is the next bash.... sounds like you are the Master of Bashes!

Hope your tank comes around soon..

Saturday was quite a rough day for me. It must have been quite a bash. I was so busy playing host I didn't enjoy it as much as some others, but we nearly polished off a half barrel of Long Trail. Thanks to all that stopped by. Oskie, I already used your perfect house warming gift. Duct tape rules.

Matt,
I figured the duct tape would be better than a matched set of champagine glasses which no doubt you already have. What a great spot you have there. It's amazing, you feel like you're in a much more rural settuing and not even in Portland.

When's the next bash scheduled? I don't want to miss any of them.

Thanks again
Steve
