Houston, we have a problem. Need advice ASAP

and it's coming this way.....grocery stores are packed...people hording food....i'm thinking...sweet...where are my skii's????

I have no food in my fridge as usual. We got about a foot today so far, but supposedly the bad stuff is coming tonight coupled with 40mph winds. Power expected to go out a lot of places, so this will be quite the tough day for my fishies.

on the 25th of Feb. in the year 2010....the Lord spoke and said, surely I say to you that on the day you must lifteth your tank and exercise great care in balancing your treasures, you shall be struck with a snowstorm of epic proportions that will keep you, alas, from stocking your fridge with certain necessities such as fermented hops and barley. Further, I will send to you a power outage, so that it will become necessary to light these proceedings by candlelight.....

keep us posted.....

Hey I said I have no food. I still have plenty of beer! :celeb1:

Alright... got a couple buddies on their way. Time to start the fun! Hopefully this is done in under 2 hours

2 hour mark is here. Hows it going? Same thing happened to me when I built my stand. well the frame anyway. I just sanded the 6 posts down with a small belt sander and filled in along the edges with wood filler just in case there was a shifting or sagging later on when it starts to level itself off. worked really well. good luck

Everything is back in... just working on the scape and whatnot. Of course it never looks as good as the first time. I ended up using oak to raise the tank over the support beams. I was told pine strips would compress, so hardwood was the way to go.

Glad it workd out. Its amazing how you can plan and plan and think you have everything worked out and then something stupid brings the whole thing crashing down.

Tim
