How about some pics of other mushroom oddities and rarties not including ricordea ???

My Amplexidiscus fenestrafer,(Giant Cup Mushroom) with a plastic ruler on it to show size, it was 8in from mouth to rim and had closed a little when I placed the ruler on it.

My LFS has a giant cup mushroom. They can't sell it or even give it away. Too many people heard about what that mushroom did. The LFS was raising a baby shark, they thought it would be safe with the mushroom. Nope, the mushroom ate the baby shark that was only a few weeks old. Now, if that thing can eat a shark, I don't want it any where near my fish.
I would post a picture of my mushrooms but all I have is red ones that everyone else has.
Cool mushrooms everyone:D

It closes up really slowly, unless a fish just sat on it for a few minutes without noticing that it was getting walled in I wouldnt think they would get caught.
I do know they have a reputation for fish eating, and Ive seen pictures of a clown hosting in one where it was cupped up almost as tight as mine in the feeding picture with the clown inside the cup.
I dont think the giant cup would be any more dangerous than an anemone.

Edit-- I accidently tore the foot in the process of rearranging some rockwork, Its been 6 weeks now and I have 3 giant cup babys growing where it left behind foot fragments, no pigment to them yet but they have grown mouths and the largest has started to develop little bumps on the oral disc.

Here are some i had before summer. Sadly, I sold them to fund my vacation.

They were about 5" across.
