how are everyone's acan's doing?

Search function shows that a vermetid snails is a:

A Zoanthid Irritater and is something that can irritate a Zoanthid for long periods of time, causing it to close, and eventually kill the Zoanthid. I'm not talking about a Hermit crab that crawls across a Zoanthid colony. No worries, he's in and out in a minute. Or a fish that swims by - again, they'll open and close fairly quickly. An example is something with sweeping tentacles that don't eat Zoanthids, but will rest their tentacles o_n a Zoanthid for long periods of time causing it to remain closed and eventually kill it. Some of these critters have stinging tentacles as well which compound to the problem. It should be noted that not all Irritaters effect all Zoanthids! Some seem immune while others fall victim...

I've personally seen the web damage tissue on sps corals too. I wouldn't be super worried about getting rid of them all at once, just smash a few here ant there and hopefully they'll be gone or under control by the time you move your tank.

OK...here's mine...I guess now that I look at it closer it is doing better than I thought...all the cut polyps are almost healed and filling out...guess it is time to take out of the frag tank and put in the 120...

Aadller, how do you know that if and when they reach plague levels they'll die back to lesser levels???

I don't know that they would die back, nature tends to find balance--thats all. I guess I would only find a solution if there were actual signs of stress from coral(s). I have never had them THAT badly, so i've never noticed a problem from them, never even seen the spider web-like thing. And if they primarily bug zoas, which i loath ;c), i would say the more the merrier heh :).
