how big do green saddleback carpet anemones get? are they hard to keep?

as in a S. haddoni??

if thats the one then they are easy to keep in a biggish sized established tank. mine was close to 2 feet in diameter and they are know fish eaters.

but they are a fairly easy species to keep just give em light and food. start with a healthy specimen.

sand bed of 4" or so. they like a strong but indirect current it shouldnt be folding the oral disc.

Depends on the species you were lookign at i would guess S. haddoni because thats what most retailers have available. They can get very large very fast depending on how much you feed it. Which tank would you put it into? they require well established tanks with either HO t5 or MH lighting normally.

well i have expensive fish so if there fish eaters then i don't want one. i was going to put a small one in my 40g with mh. and then move it up to my 75 when i get that started.

MY haddoni havent ate any fish that i have so far, but that doesnt mean it cant. If the fish dont bother or is curious about the anemone then they should alright.

fishkid, S. haddoni is the most notorious fish eater of the host anemone species. Some people are lucky and never lose a fish, others lose some prized, expensive fish.
