How big does this clam get?

I have a maxim now and love the way this guy looks, hes 5-6 inches now. There is a guy who lives close to me selling him for 40 bucks I think

that one is a deresa. it will reach around 20 inches plus

It would take time for it to grow like that. If you have some good sand space go fro it!!!!!! I have a Dersa in a 33 cube for 6 mths and it proably 5in and doing great!!

Under good conditions, you should expect 12" minimum, but the world record is twice that.

Put it this way, an 18" specimen would be about as common as someone that's 7 feet tall. They're around, but far from common...

My 9 year old Derasa is got to be around 18 inches. I will measure today. Once I get someone to help me with pics I will post them.
