I purchased 2 small (1.5") dwarf angels from an online vendor (that has since gone out of business :sad2: ) approximately 10 days ago. They've been in TTM QT since arriving, and are about to do transfer #4 along with a second round of PraziPro. Both have adjusted well, are eating NLS pellets, ON flake, and frozen food. Their behavior is relaxed, and their respiration seems normal.
The Bicolor seems healthy at the moment, but the Coral Beauty isn't. I'm pretty disappointed to receive a fish like this :mad2:. There's significant fin loss on the caudal and pelvic fins, and there appears to be an open/fleshy spot on the belly.
I am planning on starting anti-bacterial treatment upon completion of the TTM next week-I was going to use a full strength mixture of both Furan-2 and Kanaplex in the water and soaked in the food, as well as soaking the food in Selcon (I won't receive the meds until Weds).
Does this treatment seem appropriate? Do you think there's a downside to leaving the seemingly (for now) healthy BiColor in the tank while dosing the antibiotics? My only option would be to put her in my DT, but I'd rather observe her for at least another 2 weeks post TTM...
I would appreciate any thoughts or advice. Thanks so much, John
