how can u clean ur sandbed ???

It depends on the sand bed, for a shallow bed i would thoroughly vacuum it on a regular basis, if a deep sand bed, you should only vacuum the very top layer, some say not to disturb it at all;)

I blast mine very gently with a turkey baster. Some sand itself does get kicked up, but the detritus is much smaller particles so the flow sweeps it away.

Generally, don't. You haven't filled out your tank specs on your personal profile, so I'm guessing on everything, but if you have as large as a 50g, and no plate coral, a fighting conch would be able to do it. A black and white brittle star. Nassarius snails. These clean the bed bit at a time and do not disturb the layering that lets your sandbed work.

k, I think I'll go buy some nassarius snails, Mine tank is a 35 gallons hexagon tank. I currently have a clarkii clown with a haitian anemone, 3 damsels, some live rocks and sand...

Get yourself a Golden Head or Diamond gobbie and leave the cleaning to the "pro's".

My Sleeper keeps the sandbed in my 125 looking nice and it's a great fish to watch do it's work.

Watch out, they are known to be jumpers.

my diamond goby sifts the sand alot making it clean but makes my water kinda messy coz of the sand floating around

Hi
I have a 1" sand bed (crushed coral) and thoroughly vacuum it every water change (every 3 weeks), I have not had any problems so assume all is ok, I rely on my live rock for filtration.

i vaccum my sand bed once every 2-3 months, but I also have some sand in my refugium so the bacteria isn't bothered too much.

it it ain't broke don't fix it.

+1, and +1 to nassarius snails and fighting conchs.

My sand bed has all sorts of cool life and I don't want to disturb it or suck it up and lose it!
