After I rescued my hammer, the GSP turned on the button polyps ... Here they completely engulfed one polyp!! I mean grew around it until only its tentacles were barely visible through the hole in the GSP tissue... And then irritated it into being closed and now almost completely covered

It's a growth rate war. I wonder if the GSP will continue doing this with each individual polyp.
And if they'll start growing over the living tissue of the digitata next to them? The digitata is pretty fast. It might outpace it at the tips, but surrender its base.
