How did you get your username?

roadracn---road racing, which I do in my free time in the summers. I love to race motorcycles on the road courses in the states. Something fun about draggin my knee at 150 mph while sliding both tires through the corners at PPIR---anyone want to go for a ride?

roadracn,
I used to do that in the dirt. MX was not so fast, just brutal. Some good times there (see the Man reference in another post).
Now, I prefer the sound of doors closing. My avatar says the rest.

Nate...your turn...

for my bikes I have a 2003 GSXR 600 (used to be one of the AMA emgo valvoline race bikes ridden by John Hopkins if anyone follows ama racing) and for the street and riding wheelies down the highway I ride a 2004 cbr 1000. I still have a RM 250 in the garage for riding trails, and I can't get enough out of goofing off on 1 or 2 wheeles!!

Nice roadracn.

I have a 03 cb 919 naked 900. This yr was my first yr and I can't wait till summer comes. I loved going up the hill on the twesty roads, only 1/2 mile from my house.

Doesn't Hopkings ride in moto gp know?

I am one of the uncreative types, at least when it comes to nicknames.
I have always used rplank or randy225. (02-25 is my employee id # at work.)
If I could change it, it would probably be a name off the Stargate SG-1 TV series. I have been watching the DVD collection over the past couple months, and have been really enjoying that.

First name Patricia (Patty)
Middle name, Louise
Last name Thomas
First used the Pattylt in 1993 on the BB's back when you had to type in AT commands to connect online and the "internet" barely existed. WAIS , Gopher and FTP's were all the rage. Anyone else remember this? Just never saw a need to change it. But now I have a complex that I am not incorporating all my hobbies and my 1st car. How does SaltyComix HockeyPlymouthBelvadere1956 sound?
BTW, Rplank, My hubby and I are SG1 diehards, too. Own the whole shebang (that has been released) and am glued to the tube every Monday and Friday. I refer the family as "the Tau'ri".

Really enjoying this thread!

In highschool, I had this game called MechWarrior fot the PC, the very first one actually. I would play with my best pal over dialup (hehe). Well, when you sign on, you have to come up with a handle. I looked around the room, saw my FOSSIL watch container and tried it. No dice, already taken. So I slapped another L on there, yay, it worked!

Patty, ah yes, the good ole days when you were impressed when your friends could connect at 9600 baud. I remember Prodigy when it first came out, what an advance in technology that was!

Wow - you're all so creative with your names.
Since I don't own any creativity yet - hoping to get some for
X-mas. I just used my name.

Happy Holidays!

Want another boring one.

I was manager of a 7-11 for a few years back in the 80s. We were supposed to wear ID tags, but often I didn't. So, when people asked me my nam I always said "Freddie". So much so that the girl at the Chinese restaurant knew me only as "Freddie" for as long as I worked there.

This has always amused me so much that I use it on every board.

Now the 40 part. I started this board when I was 40.

Dave

Brian: no old jokes please. It isn't age that matters, but wisdom :eek1:

bobioden

my nickname for along time has been Bob-O , when Fabio had his 3 minutes in the stoplight, a few friends started calling me Bobio (bobby O), and for years I used that in all my handles. I added the "den" for Denver.

hey del sorry to hijack your thread but are there any pics of your setup?
I need some ideas for redoing my pumps and plumbing.
unless you wanna come down and gimme some pointers. There could be food and beverages.

Actually, Del, I went to school at Texas A&M, not CSU. We are the REAL aggies. DOH!! Thus the Aggies part and of course the Colorado part needs no explanation.

I am also watching all of the Stargate SG-1 episodes on dvd and really enjoying it.

I wondered when Yale would find time to chime in...from the back of his truck I knew it had to be Texas A&M.

For those impressed by 1200 and 9600 baud modems, I still have a 110 baud acoustic coupler in the basement...next to the Silent Giant airpumps.

And Del, I've been meaning to compliment you on the recent avatar change (from another P-car fanatic...)
