She is nipping at my clam....grr. Any ideas on how to get her out? WAY too many corals and rock to want to tear it all out.....

I've heard/read that sometimes putting a plastic cover or tub o wear over a coral/clam will sometimes get a Angelfish to stop it.

But as for catching. Its going to be difficult. Your two best options are either trapping. Which involves putting a fish trap on your tank then feeding out of the fish trap. This usually is difficult because the fish won't trust it at first, usually takes 1-2 weeks.

Or taking everything out, but you mentioned that was impossible.

I've also read that netting while they are sleeping works, I've tried never worked for me.

I bought some acrylic and acrylic glue and made a fish trap that was rectangle in shape and about 3 in inside diameter and then glued a piece on that would allow the trap to hang on one of my center braces and be suspended in the tank. I cut a slot in the top of the rectangle trap and cut a piece of acrylic that would slide down to create a door. Tide a piece of fishing line to the door. Put some frozen mysis and rods food in the back and sat about 10 feet away and watched.
After about 2 min of the food smell I had blonde naso tang, flame angel, hippo tang, anthias and many other fish swimming in and out. All i had to do was let go of the string and the door came down trapping any fish.

Works great!!!!!!

Can you post a pic? TIA

If it is possible to post a picture of this trap I'd love to see it. I am currently trying to catch an LPS nipping coral beauty myself.

Traps work well with some fish and not so well with others.
I found them to be highly effective with angelfish. As bait I use either a clam in the shell or a mirror.
I just use an off the shelf trap (Seaside). The only modification I made was to replace the acrylic door with one i made from glass.

Some fish may need live bait, not just for food but also as an intruder to their territory they need to fight off. Some seem to be too smart to fall for their own mirror image. So if you build your own trap you may want to consider an extra compartment for that.

Another option is a barbless micro hook. For some fish like certain blennies, jawfish and similar hit and retreat feeders it's really the only way.

Then there are fish that are so ductile or stupid that you can just scoop them out with a net (clownfish often fit in this category).

I purchased one of the lee critter carriers about 6 inches long. I hadn't caught an angel fish but I caught a solar wrasse twice. It was only in there a day before he trustee it. I put a rock or pvc towards the top to disorientate. I squirt frozen food at the opening in the lid and he just swims right in, close the lid right behind him.

I have used a tiny barbless hook many times. Have the container the fish is going into ready, because it's going to work. Use the lightest fishing line you can find. You may have to go to a outdoors store that has fly fishing supplies to get the tiny barbless hooks. You can pull the bait away if the wrong fish goes for it. This really works well.

As mentioned fish traps tend to work well with angel fish. Leave the trap in for a few days and only feed in the trap. Once they get comfortable in the trap pull the trigger. Patience is the key here.

I've had amazing success with chicken wire. Cheap and you can get it anywhere. I used it to catch all my fish when I got it in my display, only took about 20 minutes to catch all 12 or so fish and I didn't have to move a single thing. Just cut it to whatever size you can work with. I created barriers and was able to get the fish into a corner then netted them out. I was surprised how easy it worked, even small fish that could easily swim thru it wouldn't.
