How do I know whether I have real or false percs?

I bought my clowns a whileback so I dont remember what I bought, I just knew they were clown fish. So how do I know now if its a real or a false perc? Sorry if this has been answered before :-(

I think real percs have a black line dividing the white and orange. False percs do not.

post pictures ladybugs advice will not leave you with a positive ID

posting pictures is the only way and even then sometimes its tough.

i'll post some tomorrow when the lights are on... only the leds on right now. Also another question. I got my BTA last week, just wondering how long before the clowns will host it if they will host it?

Maybe tonight, maybe never. E. Quadricolor is not a natural host for either Ocellaris or Percula clowns.

ther is a way to tell for sure by counting dorsal spines but I dont remember whats what

Percula have 9 dorsal spines, Ocellaris have 10 or 11 Dorsal Spines. Percula typically have bright orange eyes, ocellaris usually have darker eyes, more of a burnt orange.

Well they look nice. I can usually tell in person, not so much by pictures.
