I am going to sell about 50 pounds of live rock and was wondering the best way to ship now that it is getting colder. I would do a local sale only but I live in podunk idaho. I don't think there are many people around here willing to buy. Any suggestions about shiping would be apreciated, thanks.

The best way, and most work is. Wrap the rock in wet newspaper and /or papertowels. Pour a little over it so it is good and wet. Put in a syrofoam cooler and then put the cooler in a plastic bag. the put in a shipping box. PS.Add cool or hot packs as needed.

id say pretty much the same thing except... put the plastic bag inside the styrofoam container, not the other way around, else you'll have all this styrofoam in and on your rock. trust me....

and to save shipping costs, yep, wrap it up in wet newspaper. If shipping costs arent a problem, add a bit of water, which will help the humidity inside the bag, and keep things nice and moist.
