I have a relatively young ocellaris clown. About a week ago, I noticed her belly was a little distended and thought maybe she was getting ready to spawn (odd, considering how young she is). After some posting here, another member suggested she may have an internal parasite and told me to look for long, white, stringy feces that linger on the fish's body. After several days of observations, I think this might be the case...however, she is gaining weight, which contradicts the parasite theory.
She is considerably (almost double) the size of her male counterpart, even though they were purchased at the same size/time.
I am going to keep watching for several more days, but in anticipation of no changes, how would I go about treating her for such a condition?
Other tank inhabitants include:
the other ocellaris
3 green chromis
6 blue-legged hermits
5 astrea snails
2 nassarius snails
Thanks!
