How do the various clowns rate in aggressiveness?

I have lots of experience in freshwater and have kept many Africans so I do understand aggressive fish. I have read allot and it appears the Percula complex is the least aggressive on rule and the Maroons the most. I was curious how the other complexes or species compared in the vast middle ground or if something is more aggressive than a maroon let me know. I love maroons but not sure I want to put then in biocube 29. Well I do but not sure that is a good move and was wondering outside of percs what my other options might be. I only like onyx percs ( sigh expensive taste in a way) so I was wondering how the other clowns were by comparison to those two.

as with cichlids it also the individaul fish and weather thay have a well defined territory and want to breed. blah blah you know that any ways.

for me maroons are fairly aggresive, tomatos a close second, perculas(wild caught will chase other fish to the point of jumping from a tank), then clarkis.

as for most other clowns they are not as aggresive, they will defend a territory but other then that they usually retreat.

again fish are individuals, nothings set in stone just my personal opinion.

most aggressive by far are a.eppiphium as a rule then supposed to be maroons, clarks females, tomatos, polymnus with precs and ocellaris being at the bottom leaset agressive.
Alot has to do with size and wether they are tank raised or wild.

And obviously there are many exceptions to this.

a full size female maroon is the most awsome of all killer clowns and can murder many fish
clarkii, tomatoe,

all clowns are territoriall sometimes

maroons are always getting a bad wrap lol

My maroon is agressive toward my hand, if i have a glove on.
she'll bite and hang on and shake like a bulldog.(with no glove there is no problem) sure she beat up her male at first, but she is so peaceful to other fish its amazing. she just hangs in her nem spitting sand occasionally. pretty peaceful i think unless im bugging her.

My maroon bites me when I scrape coraline.
Lately I wear my watch, and for some reason she goes for the watch(saves my skin and hopefully dulls her teeth!)
So far she's not aggro to other fish.
Clarks and tomato's have been mean to my fish, won't deal w/ that.
Skunks have been by far the most passive for me.

your maroon is small, so is mine

my buddy has a full sized killer female that sucks snails out of their shells and murders all tankmates in its 54g corner
