How do these nems look 24 hours after cutting?

I decided to cut my 7" rose bubble tip yesterday into 3 pieces and its been about 24 hours since. I first cut it in half and then one of the halves, in half again. The half looks good and its all inflated again but Im a little worried about the 2 quarters. Here they are...

How do they look so far?

On my opinion they actually look pretty bad. In my experience anemones that have been cut should look almost perfect 24 hours after the fact - they curl inwards so that they protect the location of the cut and you often can't see the injury. Of course, it is not the first 24 hours that is important - it is the first two months. If the anemone is still alive two months after the fact, you stand a chance of being successful. Many anemones look ok for the first week or two, and then dwindle and die.

Out of curiosity - why did you want to cut it into three pieces? At most, I would have tried to cut it in half(?)

I've never cut an anemone before and Im just trying to get the most I can so I can get some and get some extra cash.

I agree they don't look good. Typically they inflate within hours. I've cut in 3 a few times with limited success. Usually I just loose 1.

I agree they don't look great, however they are still alive and I've seen the most botched up cutting jobs and the nems survice.. IMO if your water quality is pristine anemone can recover from remarkable circumstances..

I would be optimistic.. Starting a NEM project myself I am very curious, plea keep us posted!

Keep good flow and good parameters (obviously) and they may make it, but they look pretty rough. What did you use to cut them?
