How do two juvi leopard wrasses sort out who will become the male?

Do they duke it out like clowns? Is it signaled by a series of winks and nods?

I'm curious what I should expect. One is a bit more greenish on the forehead. Maybe it's turning already? Fish are 1 1/2 to 2 inches long.
