How do you attach a union to a male adapter?

Do you just cut a small peice of pvc that size and use that to attach the two together?

No dude, the threaded end will go into my pump. I need to attch the union on the other side.

gottcha... yea, you'll have to add a small piece of pipe(nipple).

So if I'm using spa flex, do I have to use rigid PVC for these small pieces or can I use small peices of spaflex?

Is the distance between the pump and the tank (or whatever) that short? It's really (@ this point) a personal pref. it'll work either way as long as you get the spa tubing to seal.

Some like the union right by the pump (in which you would use the pvc then after union change over to spa tubing for flexabilty)

Piping will eventually feel like art to you and will have a certain look you will want to achieve...have fun

some like the look of hiding the union or require the flexabilty @ the pump!!!
