How do you carry your wide angle lens?

I bought a wide angle lens for my Ikelite housing about a year ago. I am extremely paranoid about diving with the lens. Most of the diving I do is from the shore which is made up of sharp lava rock and coral. I am so scared of scratching the lens. When I do dive with the lens I take the lens covers with me but this can be a pain to get off at depth. I usually tie a small mesh bag to the camera housing to hold the lens when Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m not using it. This works for calm water days but if there is a surge or waves everything gets thrown around. This becomes a delicate dance of tip toeing through sea urchins, getting back on shore, and protecting the camera. Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m wondering how other divers carry and manage their detachable lenses.

I've got a pair of lens docks on my tray and arm for my macro and wide angle lenses. And I do nearly all my diving from boats rather than the shore, so I don't have to worry so much about entrances and exits.
