Ok, so I have a 400 gallon Acrylic tank that I want to clean the panes. How should I do that? Should I use one of the great white magnets made for acrylic?? Will that still scrath it? I need some help. I dont want to mess up my nice tank.

For the inside of my tank, I use the magnetic scrubbers, like that great white you mentioned. You just need to make sure you get one with a strong enough magnet for the thickness of your acrylic. Once I am done with the magnetic scrubber, I use a hand held one to clean the top edge and the bottom near the substrate. For the outside, I use plexis and a nice clean soft cotton rag.

The only way you will scratch your tanks inside with the magnetic scrubber is if you get some crushed coral or coraline between the pad and the acrylic. Just be careful and pay attention. If you see something in the pad, remove the scrubber and clean it before proceeding. Scratches can and will happen, even if you are careful but there is really no other way to clean the inside of the tank.

+1 and also keep in mind if you do scratch it ......its not the end of the world like glass you can remove the scratch in just a few minn and then its back to normal and business as usual without even draining the tank or blinking an eye

just be careful if the magnets come apart and the inside one goes in the sand.... remove it and make sure its clean before you put them back together

Credit cards work great assuming you can reach by hand whatever pane you are trying to clean. I use expired ones myself but I suppose it all depends on your relationship with the card hold I guess ;) They don't trap things easily and as long as your a bit mindful near the bottom/sand they can scrape off even stuborn things relatively easily. Best of all they are free...sorta.

I use a Mr Clean Magic Eraser that I filet in 1/4, and sandwich between my acrylic safe magnet.

For corralline algae removal a acrylic safe scraper from Kent or Tom works well.
