How do you get an Anemone to attach to a rock?

Yesterday, I picked up a RBTA and placed it in my DT with the powerheads off and it still attached to the rubble rock it came with. I place it next to an "island" rock that I want it to attach too and this morning, I found it on the sand. So far this morning, I've tried place it back on the island rock but it doesn't seem to want to attach. Any ideas?

Doesn't really matter as it will move around to find a good spot. Remember to cover your power head with a net or your anemone can get serious damage.

Once it's in a spot which you find acceptable, feed it and hopefully it stays at that spot.

Looking at your specs, 8x T5 and at a depth of 20" I'm guessing that BTA is getting blazed by light, and probably at bottom acclimating.
You could shade it and that may help.
I'm sure it will most likely be cool, it's still quite fresh to your tank and new params/conditions.
Corral it a little w/ pieces of LR for now and hopefully it goes where you wish.
It should want to be attached to rock.

BTAs like having their foot buried in a hole or crevice. I place mine in the back of my tank which as slightly lower flow. They will move to where they're most comfortable, but you can try moving them to where their foot is between a deep crack/in a hole in a slightly lower flow area ... for me, usually increases the chances of them staying put.

Thanks everyone for the advice. It's on the move again. This time I surrounded it with rubble rock so we'll see now.

This is where my anemone ended up this morning. In my overflow box. I don't know how it got through the teeth of the over flow box but I'm thankful it didn't go down the drain.

All day yesterday, I had only my dusk/dawn lights and my vortechs set to the very minimum. All day is was in the same spot. As soon as the light went off, it started to move so I decided to turn my vortech off completely. I wonder if it's looking for more flow? I'm sure it's getting a lot of flow in the corner of the box there.
