How do you guys feed your bottom dwelling corals?

I have some blastos that I need to feed and I have been putting it off as it is always very difficult to feed them. I use a turkey baster to feed the other corals that I can get to but the corals on the bottom of my tank like the blastos are more difficult.

I bought one of the kent feeders but mysis shrimp are too large to fit into it so it does me little good. Another waste of hard earned cash :hammer:.

I was wondering how you guys go about feeding harder to reach corals.

Thanks,
C.G. and C.G.'s hungry corals.

Here is what I do. I bought a Turkey Injector for $3 from Lowes. Removed the metal tip. Get a piece of 4ft 1/4" acrylic tubing. Take a small 1 piece of tubbing and slide it on the syrenge. Take the other half and slide it over the acrylic tubing. I fed mysis through this same setup as well as cyclopeeze. For a more direct spot feed cut the top off a 2 liter and drill a hile in the cape just big enought to fit the acrylic tubbing trough and glue it on place. This way yur fish can not get the food ment for your coral. Hope thats helps you. Hopefully I did not loose you.

I did a similar setup, I used a 60cc syringe (found at local vet shop for $0.60) then glued a small length of 1/4 airline tubing to the tip, then used 1/4 hard acrylic tubing and attached about 2 feet of that to the air tubing. this alows me to reach the sandbed if need be as well as maneuver the tubing easily (because of the flexibility of the small piece of airline tubing). works great for the cyclopeeze but havn't tried it on any bigger food stuffs.

get some long forceps. much more accurate than shooting them with a baster...

where does one get extra long forceps?

I have one of the Kent feeders and drilled the tip out a little bit more.

I shave the frozen mysis with a razor blade as I make my food mix.

If you use the spear at the end of the Kent feeder, you can solve the shrimp problem! J/K :)

i get a big 50 cc syringe(no needle), fill it with water, drop a cube of mysis in it, put a small piece of soft air line on the end and connect it to a large piece of rigid air line.
