How do you kill off mushrooms?

I have an over growth of mushrooms. They are not the easiest things to cut out. Is there an easier way to target a couple and kill them?

nope. unless you completely remove every part it will grow back

Cut out what you can and cover the rest with kalkpaste. That's what I do to control my mushrooms.

Give them to a fellow reefer.
Trade for some clean rock. Unless you remove the entire foot. It will grow back.
