i volunteer at a fish store and my pride is taking care of the tiny macro tank/refugium so when i can i snip pieces of random macro and take it home they dont mind and there actually happy its not just getting thrown away but usually i take small pieces and i dont know how to attach them to rock rubble so they can grow so for now i just planted all the caulerpa in the sand weighed down by a snail shell/ rock rubble
please tell me a good way to get macro to attach to the rubble quickly

thanks in advance

Kinda depends on the macro. Halimeda for example for example prefers the sand, so you would put it in the sand it then develops holdfasts, and then you can move it to the rockwork if you desire.

Caulerpa is pretty easy, and this method will work for most macros, use a loose fitting rubber band and attach the macro to a piece of LR after several weeks it should've attached, but it may take longer.

i have super glued red macro algae to rocks, but after several weeks only 1 of like 20 frags actualy held.
i have Halimeda growing out of rocks, the plants are less than .5 inch tall still. i plucked them and moved them to my fuge for further growout.

I have superglued red macro to SPS skeletons by pushing a piece over a sharp spot and supergluing. Always worked so far!!
